Welcome to your home in Munich

Hospitality has a long tradition here: around the middle of the 17th century, a postal station of the Thurn and Taxis system was established in the village of Riem, which at the time was quite some distance from the formerly royal city of Munich. Here horses were exchanged and business deals transacted and travellers stopped for some respite from the ardours of the journey.

Riem has been a popular suburb of Munich for quite some time, only ten minutes by car or train from the old section of the city. But then as now, this has been a centre for trade and international business, exemplified today by the new trade fair grounds, the Neue Messe München/ICM. Today, too, travellers find a warm, hospitable welcome and an opportunity to rest at the former postal station – which is today our Hotel Prinzregent: located in the original part of the village of Riem and only a few minutes away from the trade fair grounds. Our family run boutique hotel provides both private and business travellers with a high modern standard of comfort, combined with the charm and the personality and tradition of a family-run house: your lovely home in Munich.
